Rarity

Lucky Reserved for Karen and her family

Spike AVAILABLE $1800.00

Scootaloo Reserved for Andrea and her family

Sweetie Bell RESERVED for Kaylee and her family

We have started submissive relaxation techniques to help our puppies learn that people are to be trusted and also the alpha (one in charge). 2 puppies from our last litter have gone on to be service dogs, so this is very important early training. We put them on their backs several times a day and reward them when they become relaxed in a submissive position. We are also introducing vacuum hair, dryer, and other sounds. Socialization is critical for developing well adjusted pups and we at Taylormade kennels are excited to create this for our puppy families!

Socializing puppies

  • This may just look like kids holding puppies, but this is a very important component to raising a well rounded dog. Puppies learn to trust and feel comfortable around people at a very young age. We make sure the puppies are held, weighed, and allowed to explore people from just a few days old, after bonding with their mama. We help them latch and nurse from mama so they can learn we are here to help. As they get older we introduce even more!

Puppy LOVE

As a lactation educator and counselor myself I can appreciate that Pinkerton has figured out some different nursing positions!

Cleaning our puppy area

Keeping our dogs and puppies clean is top priority here! I am really trying to keep cleaning as natural as possible, so here are my top picks:

Image result for baking soda pictures

We are using Norwex products and detergent for our puppies and our family. We are not using chemicals just water and Baclock Enviro cloths, I am using the pure Norwex Power Plus detergent for laundry and I also mix it with water in a spray bottle for stains or extra bad messes, I am also in love with the Norwex wool dryer balls that lessen my drying time and are also a natural fabric softener (no more toxic dryer sheets). I use vinegar for a fabric softener and deodorizer; and baking soda for whitening, both are things that are safe to eat, yay!
Being a mom of 6 children and owning dogs means cleanliness is very important to me. In the past I used good Ol' bleach for cleaning, but found it to be harsh and strong smelling, Bleach is a good way to clean a parvo infected areas, but thankfully we have not had parvo here at Taylormade so to prevent any infection, everyone removes their shoes because parvo is often in the ground.
Pinkerton will have her workouts in our yard or on the treadmill until all her puppies are vaccinated. Then she can resumes her daily neighborhood runs with me.

Our puppies have arrived!!!

Friday June 12th, 2015 Pinkerton gave birth to 5 beautiful puppies!

We here at Taylormade Kennels are so excited to introduce our new litter. We have 3 females and 2 males.
It's always fun and special to share the birth story (I know I always love birth stories!) So if you don't mind some blood scenes feel free to read and and look BELOW:

Friday morning I could tell our dog was getting serious about having her puppies. After we worked so hard to lovingly prepare her puppy delivery room in our bathroom, she picked her own location in our front yard bushes. She even took two of our toys and began mothering them. After she starting trying to uproot one of our bushes I decided to move her back in the house for monitoring.
She wasn't happy in her whelping box until I added tons of blankets and towels. She also preferred to have someone with her, especially me, at all times.
Myself petting Pinkerton as she was getting ready to deliver the first pup

Her last labor was about 9 hours and it was 9am so I calculated the pups would be born about 6pm. I was a few hours off. The first puppy, a female cream colored with a little white blaze on her head, was born at 3:50pm

Watching her was so beautiful and intense I cried! This was such an amazing thing to watch.
Our kids were so amazed to be apart of this and took turns quietly coming in to witness the gift of life.

The 2nd and 3rd puppies were each born and hour apart. They were both males one cream and one buff. It's hard to tell color in this picture because they were all still wet.

The 4th and 5th puppies came 20 minutes apart and were 2 buff females!
Pinkerton is a fabulous mother and did a wonderful job. Everyone is healthy and comfortable now.

Waiting for our PUPPIES!

Today is our Pinkerton's due date!
We are all set up and ready for Pinkerton to have her puppies. Here are 3 anxious little girls. Our master bathroom is dubbing as a doggy delivery room.
I have been busy getting all the supplies clean and ready
This is our warming box it is equip with a heating pad and several clean towels. I have small ribbon collars so we can distinguish between all our little golden babies.
The warming box serves many purposes but it's mainly a spot where we can care for the pups and keep them warm and comfortable. This is an around the clock job and I want to make sure our pups are as clean and healthy as possible. We go through tons of towels and puppy pads whelping a litter. My fabulous Norwex Consultant Connie  helped me find the perfect products to keep my puppies clean and healthy without exposing them to harmful cleaning products.
I highly recommend this company, instead of using harsh bleach and other harmful products that hurt our babies lungs and new bodies, I will be using water and my Baclock envirocloths to disinfect our puppy area.
I am also prepared with needed medical supplies. It is not uncommon to lose 1/3 of a litter of puppies especially if there is a large litter, survival of the the fittest, right? Well wrong, usually things that cause puppy mortality rates to increase can be avoided with a little preparation and know how. I plan to beat the odds and am praying everything goes smoothly.
My wonderful husband built the whelping box with our first litter and I grew to totally adore this wonderful box. It's designed to keep our puppies safe from being sat on, and though Pinkerton is a good mother it was always hard for her to find a place to sit, this was a perfect solution with the ledge around the inside of the box.
I have been charting her temperature and this morning she was a 100.01 this afternoon 100.05 and tonight 99.0. This means with the drop in her temperature she is getting close to delivery I found this link that gives great info on Charting temperature.
Pinkerton is starting to pace...  I have a feeling I won't be getting a lot of sleep around here. I will update when we have puppies!

Piper will be a BIG sister soon!

These precious girls can't wait
Please wish us luck, a prayer would be wonderful and if you are interested in a puppy feel free to leave a comment, call or text at 208-447-8227, or email micheleadaline@gmail.com

We Have puppies Due June 10th 2015!!!

I just cannot say enough good things about our Piper from Gianni and Pinkerton! She is everything I hoped for. Her personality is outstanding, she is extremely intelligent, she is easy to train, loving, obedient, and again loves everyone she meets. She and her mama always attract a crowd because they are stunning dogs, and so soft, and friendly.
Story: I was at the dog park one day and a lady just fell in love with Piper she even offered to trade me her Husky puppy in exchange for Piper! These new pups are no exception, I am sure.

SO... back at Easter 2015 we noticed our Pinkerton was in heat and decided that she should have another beautiful litter of mini Goldens.( Here I am decorating Easter eggs with my children.)

We arranged for Gianni to be the Sire of this litter since we were very happy with his pups from our previous litter. It is a very difficult process to breed a 70lb Golden Retriever with a 25lb Cocker Spaniel, if you can imagine. We really had our doubts that this even worked to produce a litter, but we have been hopeful because, through some miracle, we were able to accomplish this task once already. After lots of waiting and checking... It looks like we have puppies on the way, whew, all of our hard work is half way over.

Our wonderful, gentle, loving Dame Pinkerton Paulette blooming in her pregnancy. Can you see the Baby Bump?

Pinkerton loves the water and with things warming up for summer we got her a pool to wade it, she loves it!

June will be a wonderful month I hope you enjoy! Feel free to come to me with any questions.
